In my opinion, it beats all other commuter backpacks on the market hands down. The padded laptop & iPad pockets in the back provide perfect protection for my work and personal iPads. The center section has organizing slots and ample space for folders, notebooks, and books. 10 years of use and still going!

"I was gifted this backpack over 10 years ago when I was a senior in high school. I still carry it daily as an IT Manager now. I've taken this bag all over the US touring with a Drum and Bugle Corps, used it all through college, taken it hiking, all the way to Europe, and I even used it some in the military. I still take it when I go camping. I currently carry a Thinkpad (t14), just last weekend I was camping and had to run with the bag through a flash flood. Laptop and everything inside were perfectly fine. I carry my laptop and a travel router daily in it, with a ton of extra junk that I don't really need. It really isn't designed for the weight I've put in it, but the straps always hold up. The only visible damage is on one of the strap adjustments from my cat (then kitten, who is now a 6 year old cat who does occasionally try to use it as a scratching post), and sun damage from the first year I had it when the bag and I spent every day that summer outside in the heat in drum corps. All the zippers still work, in college I even carried a 16 inch laptop for a while. I've strapped all manner of things to the carabiner, entire other bags, gallon water jugs, whatever. I take it to work every day, and I never leave town without it. One day I might replace it, or I'll just keep carrying it."

Had a stitch let go

"Had a stitch let go on first one used twice. Notified Swiss gear with in 3 days had a brand new replacement. Very impressive to find this kind of service. I have got luggage for a present and so much better then my last two sets. I will always use Swiss gear."

"This is our third backpack we purchased from you. They are amazing, we used them for several years daily and also for traveling, when they wear off we look around for choices and always go back to Swiss gear. Never been disappointed. This one in particular is very easy to carry around as well as sturdy enough to carry a daily use. We love this product"

The zipper will fail

"I have owned this bag twice over 4 years as my everyday bag for college, travel, work, and outdoors. I've also completely disassembled it and repurposed. Dislikes: It is not 1200d polyurethane, that's that. 31 Liters is a large over estimate. The laptop pouch also kind of messes with the structure and the bag droops. And the big deal breaker and the reason I will not buy a third, the zipper. specially on both bags the zipper chain stitching failed at the both corners of the main pouch. I tried reinforcing the stitching when I got the second bag but it still happened and it's just a cheap plastic zipper chain so as soon as that thin plastic bends the bag is mostly ruined. Likes: The polyurethane is very durable, the hand rivets keep the handle very secure, I like the big admin pouch, and I really do love the overall construction, most of the important seems are bound, I like the elastic pouches, the cushioned straps are amazing, the padding on the bottom is great, and I love the liner."
